Al meer dan tien jaar werk ik aan mijn persoonlijke fotografie passieprojecten met dieren in hun natuurlijke omgeving.
Naast mijn klantwerk blijf ik bewust ruimte maken voor projecten waarin ik kan observeren, experimenteren en verdiepen: zonder regie, zonder haast.

IJslandse paarden in de natuur

Kuddes · merries · veulens · geboorte · landschap

Mijn langlopende project draait om het vastleggen van IJslandse paarden over de wereld die zo natuurlijk mogelijk leven:
in kuddes, met merries en veulens, op rustige locaties waar ruimte is voor gedrag, onderlinge dynamiek en landschap.

Ik fotografeer:

kuddes IJslandse paarden in de natuur
drachtige merries, merries met veulens en jonge veulens
bij voorkeur op locaties zonder bebouwing in beeld
in Nederland, op de Waddeneilanden en in het buitenland

Afhankelijk van de afstand werk ik:

met dagbezoeken (Nederland / dichtbij)
of met een verblijf op of nabij de locatie (buitenland of afgelegen gebieden)

Het verblijf is daarbij geen doel op zich, maar een praktische vorm om tijd te hebben voor rust, observatie en natuurlijk gedrag.

Creatief hondenproject

experimenteel · los van klantwerk

Naast mijn werk met IJslandse paarden werk ik aan een creatief hondenproject.
Hierin onderzoek ik nieuwe technieken, composities en situaties, vaak anders dan mijn reguliere stijl.

Denk aan:

actie, beweging, water, sneeuw of zand
groepsfoto’s of bijzondere combinaties
unieke of afgelegen locaties

Deze sessies zijn bedoeld om te leren, te proberen en ideeën uit te werken, zonder vaste uitkomst.

Wat betekent deelname?

Door je aan te melden:

kom je op mijn lijst voor toekomstige projecten
geef je toestemming om gemaakte beelden te gebruiken voor
wedstrijden, accreditatie, website, social media, publicaties en producten
is er geen garantie dat je daadwerkelijk wordt geselecteerd
is er geen garantie op een bruikbaar eindresultaat (dit hoort bij autonoom werk)

Word je uitgekozen voor een project, dan neem ik contact met je op.

Als dank voor je medewerking ontvang je:

€ 75,- producttegoed voor producten uit mijn product gids
de mogelijkheid om extra producten en beelden te kopen of een presentatiebezoek te boeken (vrijblijvend)

Voor wie dit past

Deze projecten zijn geschikt als:

je dieren rustig zijn en natuurlijk gedrag laten zien
je openstaat voor een proces zonder vaste uitkomst
je begrijpt dat dit geen klantensessie is
je het waardevol vindt om bij te dragen aan mijn persoonlijke werk

Voor de IJslandse paarden geldt daarnaast dat ik vooral werk met kuddes en locaties waar ik in alle rust alleen in de wei kan fotograferen, vaak vanaf zonsopkomst ben ik een paar uur in de wei.

Icelandic Horses in Nature

Herd life · mares · foals · birth · landscape

This long-term project focuses on documenting Icelandic horses living as naturally as possible around the world:
in herds, with mares and foals, in quiet locations where there is space for natural behavior, interaction, and landscape.

I photograph:

herds of Icelandic horses in natural surroundings
pregnant mares, mares with foals, and young foals
preferably in locations without buildings in view
in the Netherlands, the Wadden Islands, and abroad

Depending on the distance, I work:

with day visits (the Netherlands / nearby locations)
or with a stay on or near the location (remote areas or international projects)

A stay is not a goal in itself, but a practical way to allow time for calm observation and natural behavior.

Creative Dog Project

experimental · separate from client work

Alongside my work with Icelandic horses, I also work on a creative dog project.
Within this project, I explore new techniques, compositions, and situations, sometimes outside my regular working style.

This may include:

action and movement
water, snow, or sand
group portraits
unique or remote locations

These sessions are intended for experimentation and learning, without a guaranteed outcome.

What participation means

By registering:

you will be added to my list for future projects
you give permission for the use of images for
competitions, accreditation, my website, social media, publications, and products
there is no guarantee that you will be selected
there is no guarantee of a final usable result (this is part of autonomous work)

If you are selected for a project, I will contact you personally.

As a thank you for your cooperation, you will receive:

€ 75,- product credit for products from my product guide
the option to buy additional products or images or a presentation appointment (optional)

Who is this for

These projects are suitable if:

your animals are calm and show natural behavior
you are comfortable with an open creative process
you understand that this is not a client session
you value contributing to autonomous photographic work

For Icelandic horses, I work primarily with herds and locations where I can photograph quietly, often from around sunrise till a few hours after.
